Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-09-12
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rovalta website, connectors and services (the "Service"), operated by Aurélien Kinet (enterprise number BE 1008.509.394), a sole trader established in Belgium. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to every visitor and account holder of Rovalta, whatever the channel used: the website, a connector or an API. The Service aggregates and presents publicly available information about Belgian companies from official sources and provides tools to search, monitor and analyse that information.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account. An account is personal: one account per natural person, and credentials or access tokens may not be shared. You are responsible for keeping them confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
Free trials, where offered, are subject to the conditions shown at sign-up. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
3. Plans, subscriptions and payment
The free plan gives access to the Service within the weekly quota of full company reports shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, by card through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where applicable.
A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and the remainder of the period is not refunded unless the law requires it. If a payment fails, we may suspend the paid features until it is settled.
Each plan includes a weekly quota of full company reports. Unused quota does not carry over. The quota applies to every access channel together, including connectors and third-party assistants (section 5).
We announce any price change at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, so that you can cancel beforehand.
If you subscribe as a consumer, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the day you subscribe. By subscribing you ask us to start providing the Service immediately. If you withdraw within those 14 days, we refund the price paid less an amount proportional to the days of service already provided.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law, including data-protection law;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute the data other than as expressly permitted by your plan, whether by scripts, crawlers, automated agents or AI assistants;
- use the data, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, test or validate any artificial-intelligence model or system;
- circumvent quotas, rate limits or access controls, or share credentials or access tokens;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems or other users' data;
- introduce malware, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- use the data to harass, defame, or unlawfully profile natural persons.
If you use telephone numbers or e-mail addresses obtained through the Service for prospecting, you alone are responsible for complying with the rules on direct marketing: the Belgian “Do Not Call Me” list, Book XII of the Code of Economic Law on electronic advertising, and the GDPR. You apply any objection or removal request you receive immediately, and you stop using a contact detail as soon as it disappears from the Service.
5. Connectors, API and third-party assistants
Where we offer a connector or an API, you may connect your account to a third-party assistant or tool, such as Claude or ChatGPT, for your own use. You authorise that access yourself, through tokens tied to your account, and you can revoke it at any time.
- the Terms, the restrictions of section 4 and the quotas of section 3 apply to data obtained through a connector exactly as they apply on the website, including any copy the assistant keeps in its memory;
- we may rate-limit, suspend or revoke tokens to protect the Service or when we detect bulk extraction;
- you remain responsible for the way the assistant or tool uses your account;
- the answers, summaries and analyses produced by a third-party assistant are produced by that third party, not by Rovalta, and we give no warranty about them.
6. Data sources and “as is” disclaimer
The Service compiles information from official public sources, including the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (BCE/KBO), the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) filings, and the Belgian Official Gazette (Moniteur belge). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of this information.
Scores, indicators and indicative valuations are calculated from published figures with published methods. They are information, not advice, and do not replace an analysis of the accounts themselves. The Service and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. Any decision you make based on the information is your sole responsibility.
7. Intellectual property and database rights
The Service, its software, design, trademarks and compiled datasets are protected by intellectual-property rights owned by or licensed to Aurélien Kinet, including the sui generis right of the database producer (Belgian Act of 31 August 1998, Directive 96/9/EC). Extracting or re-using all or a substantial part of the database, evaluated qualitatively or quantitatively, is prohibited. You may not copy, reproduce or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by these Terms or by law. Underlying public records remain the property of their respective source authorities.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurélien Kinet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for any loss arising from your reliance on the information, errors, interruptions, or unavailability of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event, and to EUR 100 for users of the free plan. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Belgian law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute relating to them falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to the mandatory rules that protect consumers.
11. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Questions: [email protected].
